led to today’s well-known marketing forms and the formation of large

Membran International now belongs to the largest European independents in the sound carrier industry. Our company in the media city of Hamburg has 80 employees who all show a high level of commitment when developing new media products and editions and pressing ahead with the expansion of our back catalogue which now comprises more than 5,000 articles. In order to take into account the far-reaching changes in the trade we, as one of the fi rst companies, have actively integrated the book trade into our distribution network. We also act as an independent publisher in this fi eld and are continuously building up our book programme. Our publishing house, Grosser + Stein, is among the most successful sound carrier suppliers in the national book trade and our range of products is now a fi rm part of the programme of many bookshops. As we want to offer our customers reliable quality we have an independent media production. Under the signet ‘Membran A&R’ we create music and DVD productions, license master and music rights, are permanently looking for rare music catalogues and design aesthetically sophisticated end products for the trade with our own creative department.
